Model confusion!!

I am collecting my pre registered 53 plate Polo diamond black 1.2s 3dr on friday so when I was on the phone today to update my insurance and told them all the details etc (reg no) I was told that its a 55 ps model!! The car I bought is a 65 ps one so I called the VW dealer and he clarified that it is definately the 65ps. How can this be!!!!! mmmmmmmm very confused!!!

Also is there a way you can tell the difference between each model apart from driving it and seeing which one is faster!!! Any help would be dandy, cheers.

Also does this model have remote central locking?? Or must I use a key everytime.

If the insurance company "knows" it's a 55bhp model then let it be mate

The thing is I dont really know as I have not seen the car. I am getting it from a vw dealership 150 miles away but I would be seriously miffed if it was but on the dealers order sheet he promises me it a 65ps one.

Welcome to the forum desgreen

Easiest way to check is lift the bonnet, if it says 1.2 12v on the engine cover in chrome letters its a 65bhp model. If it has '1.2' embedded into the plastic its a 55bhp model.
