Looking good, nice shot of the Polo, good light going on there. The other one is a bit flat
To add to whats been said before, MPs isn't the issue, things that make a good pic in order of importance / impact are
1) The person taking the pic; knowledge of how to compose and shoot a good pic
2) Lens - high quality Optics
3) Knowledge and understanding of light and photography
4) Mega Pixels - but as mentioned 4 - 5 MPs is all most people will ever need unless you feel the to print photo qulaity A3 or bigger
The thing about more MPs is that it highlights / enhances crap shots, so unless you get a spot on shot each time high MPOs actually make you look worse at photography.
When giving advice on buying cameras (not sure why people always ask me) but I recommend going and holding it, getting a good feel for how the menus work, and take some sample shots. If the retailer won't let you walk out the door.
