Welcome to the forum. I think it is hard to find the perfect GTI and you can't be majorly fussy. My car was bought with full leather, 29k miles, good price and only 95 miles away - trouble was it was silver and it was my least favourite colour, but that doesn't matter when your driving it :D

Similar thinking happened with me, I'd liked the look of black, but ended up with a Red one. I did also consider Silver cars, although the condition of the car was more important to me, and my little Red'un just happens to look class as well :D Whatever you get I'm sure you'll be more than happy.

Ach you can get a cheap flight :D The engine etc etc is all under 50k, the actual car is about 65k. It would be up to you mate, its still registered as a 1.4 8v but can be re-registered as a GTI if you liked. Mot test centers etc dont care about it.....but i wouldnt think insurance would find out if you had a smash, cant see why they would. But it would be up to you if you wished to re-register it.

The car i actually away into the bodyshop at the moment to get all the bodywork touched up, which will cost me a fortune again lol....and i will be replacing the windscreen if i can find one.....and there is a couple of other little touch ups i will get sorted for the buyer, trust me it'll be a show car mate :D
