With you now. If the Alarm is Factory fit you can change the alarm sound. If it is on a different fob it is aftermarket and you will be able to activate the beep on the door lock/unlock (as far as i know it is only on remote central locking)

I can get it to beep when it is locked/unlocked so people can think it is alarmed though

:? forgive me i am ill and not making my self clear. Right so far i've managed some how to establish i have remote central locking and an alarm which is dealership fitted however i lack to say that when it locks it beeps one and indicators blink once, unlocking it bleeps twice and indicators blink twice! However there are two buttons on the fob and you can press one before the other to make the locking/unlocking silent and only the indicators blink!

Right then, i maybe able to turn the beep off unless it is coming from the aftermarket alarm the dealer fitted (I take it that the alarm has a seperate fob, if not it is more than likely the dealer activated the factory one).

WIth the insicator blips i take it you mean for when you change lanes, which i have been told how to do but weather it works is another matter as it is not availible on my fabia. everything else mentioned i can do.

Londoner with VAG-COM

Post by woter324 »

I'll do a deal for the members of this great forum. Anyone in the London area, pop round or I may pop round to you and we'll go through all the options that are possible on your car with VAG-com for only £15.

There's a whole host of things to change. As mention alarms tones, locking configs. I changed my clock to 12hr. Degrees F and it bleeps at me when the key is in and the door is open. (Like I need to be told. Actually it's now so anoying I'm going to change it back)

The more option you have the more there is to play with.

Check to see if your car is ill or in top condition.

I have most of the erwin manuals for POLO so things can be done by the book. Not that there's much in there.

Nelson. A little bird tell me that you have access to something a little beter than VAG-COM???
