How to take out spark plug & reset oil change warning? H

Post by alpolo9n »

Hi guys,

Has anyone here done their own oil change on the 9n3 1.4l polo? I just did mine today and now need to reset the warning on my cluster. How do I do this? Do I need a Vag-com to do that?

Also, I have been trying to figure out how to take out the spark plug with no luck. No idea how to take out the wire loom and the coil.

I have searched but no luck.

Please if anyone can help out, really appreciate it. Thanks.

How many miles have you done so far on the current sparks, because they last 40000 miles which is about 60000 km.

On the new ones, im not sure of the procedure, but i do know vag com can reset the service light - im sure a local garage would do it for you no problem

Hi Alex,

Thanks for the reply. I will take it to my local garage as my friend working there says he can reset for me.

As for the spark plug, its only been 20K so its still ok. But it would be nice to know how to take the wire loom and spark plug coil out so I can access the spark plug when I need to replace them.

Here are some pictures of the cables and the coil.

Any idea how to take them out. I have tried to pull at the plastic parts but they wouldn't come out and that is with the screws taken out.

Alex,

Still no luck with the twisting technique. Tried it and it wouldn't budge. Any idea from your side? Thanks
