Hello all
right i have a very annoying problem
the rear hubs on my polo 6n2 are bigger than the fronts, therefore i cannot fit any wheels on the rear of my car.
my previous alloys i have on are bigger for he back but i want rid of my 16's so i bought some euro 14's then came the problem fitting the backs!
the new alloys are 14" pcd 4x100 with an inside diameter of 5.5cm, the bolts fit fine and they go on the front no problem
the rear hubs are 7cm across at the widest point so the alloys will not go on problem although the bolts fit fine.
he rear hub has writing on it 2490 65 hct if that helps
could anyone please shed some light on this, are my rear hubs supposed to be bigger on the back? than the front?
im thinking tht i can get some new 4x100 hubs that are 5.5cm wide for the rear.
please help, i have a headache!
cheers

Rear Hub problem!! please help
hi matey
the hubs are all the same, what has probably happen is when you have taken off old alloys, sometimes a spacer ring is fitted to make up the hole in wheel,
this may be has seized to the hub, spray some wd40 on there then try and level off, using chisel and hammer or try and release with mole grips
