german 6n gti

anyone know anything about these?

i think they use a 1.6 16v engine but different from the 6n2 gti anyone know what engine number they were and what kinda of power they had?

1.6 16v GTI with 120 BHP (5BHP less then mk5 GTI due to no variable camtiming) with enginecode AJV

do you know the differences between the 1.6 16v and 1.4 16v is just the block or is cylinder head,gearbox,wiring etc different?

difference is in the head, cams, variable valvetiming (when comparing to mk5 GTI) exhaust, inletmanifold, throttle and ECU and of course longer stroke to gain the 200cc between a 1.4 and 1.6

is that the only difference? do you know if a manifold designed for the AJV engine would fit the AVY engine?

But yes, an AJV (6N/mk4 GTI) exhaustmanifold will also fit the mk5 GTI's, and fit all 16v's mk4 & mk5
