Reverse light switch

hi all, the reverse light on my car doesn't work

. I had a look at the bulb and that was fine, i also checked the fuse box, they all seemed fine too....A friend of mine said it may well be the reverse light switch and said its located somewhere by the gearbox, does anyone know exactly where it is? Thanks alot

on my 6n its on the front of the box, if your looking down under the bonnet it should be there?, but thats on a 6n

Sorry for the slow response, i just had a look and couldnt see it, can anyone confirm where it is on the 6N2 GTi please? Though thanks for your help anyhow
