Sorry, I hate these threads but not sure how much I should be looking at.
Its an X reg, with 52k miles and full VW service history at the same dealer.
First owner had the car one year, then traded in for a Golf GTI.
Second owner had it for three years then taded in for a Golf GTI.
Then I bought it.
Climate Control.
Xenons
CD changer.
Just had:
Cam belt at VW
Engine service at VW
Gearbox rebuild.
Wheels stripped, centres shot blasted and powder coated and rims stipped and polished and new BBS caps to finish them off.
Raceland exhaust manifold with stainless exhaust flexi installed.
New front pads.
Almost new rear pads.
Pipercross Induction kit (and standard airbox with Green Panel Filter)
Paintwork is mint, not a mark on the bodywork, couple of stone chips on the front bumper which was touched up and are not noticable.
Any ideas?
How Much? Yes I know, Im a plonker.

i'd say it was worth that easily,. but it seems (in the places i browse anyway) Gtis are going for cheaper than what i think they're sometimes worth.
I mean 7 months ago i got mine for 5.5k, and after the 40k service and cambelt and waterpump change i'm giving her i'd like to think shes still worth around that.
I'd never expect to get that tho

To be honest, i would think about 4K
Dont shoot me for the at, the reason being is you will never really hope to gain alot by getting the cam belt done and things, as there part of the course in owning a car, yes if its done a bonus, Also the Service etc, all that boils down to is an oil change, maybe filter and to check all the fluids, any decent mechaninc can do this for half the price of a VW garage!
I get my kill at people who think just because there car has all VW stamps then its worth more, Yes it may look pretty, And i'm not dissing anyone on here, but as long as its taken in for its regular service and stamped from a garage, then its worth the same!
I also believe most of them have CC and Xenons, (I may be wrong) so cant really bump up price and expect more for that, and as for all the extras like manifold and things, you will never get what you payed back in the Modifying world, as its only a certain market you appeal to, and unless you get someone who is willong to be pay for the mods, Losing battle.
As you will notice on here and any forum, alot of people put there acr back to standard to get a better price for, as it will appeal to people outside the modifyed market.
All this is my own opinion, and dont take pffence please.
