but ant they 16v lumps? to be honest i dont realy like 16v's perfer the torque from the 8v better for where i live. the gt has a lower compression ratio to the 1.3 and a better bottom end im not sure if the ports are the same size. i want to tune the 1.0l but there isnt much point for the money has its cheaper just to put a gt engine in. how much is a gt engine im guessing no more then £300?
i will end up putting some bike carbs on what ever i get at some stage i can get some r1 ones for £50 but i think there abit big could do with some 750 bike cars or even 600cc bike carbs.
1.3 carb into 1.0l single point

better off just selling it and buying a GT really. then you get all the extra kit that comes with - tacho, high range speedo, sports 5-speed box, extra odds and sods like that. (did the gt have an extra/better arb as well or am i dreaming it?)jonboy wrote:thats a lot of work for ten bhp. you would be far better off fitting bike carbs to your one litre or fitting the throttlebody, head and inlet manifold from a late spec mk3 polo
