Say I wanted to run a sub in the future on the Alpine HU, could I just use an RCA splitter?
yeh you can do that, that's what i was planning on doing, however that way you lose your sub settings on the HU (the HU doesnt recognise which amp is running the sub)
there is another way around it however which is much better (and what i've had done) unfortunately i cant remember what its called!!! (it's been a long day lol)
basically i came to the same problem, and was advised to take a different route, i think it was using the high frequency output instead? My mate knew more about it than i did, i took it a specialist and he agreed, if you ever come to it, give me a PM and i'll ring around and find out exactly what i had done!! but you can get around only having 1 pre-out AND keeping sub settings
that amps not bad, but won't be giving alot of power to your sub (if you were to get one)
I'd recommend sticking to getting something like that 2 channel alpine (previously mentioned), and if you ever want to get a sub get another amp for it!! it may seem like your saving money getting an amp now that can house a sub if need be, but when you come to it, you'll want more power for the sub so would be spending more!
