Hey guys,

Does anybody know of a good website or garage that sells nice BBS or BBS style wheels for my MK5 Polo? Am based in SE London.

Also just wanted to ask if anyone has debadged does it leave noticable marks?

Thanks!

i debadged my polo back from the boot and there is not any marks.
went over it with a hair dryer (heat gun if you have one) to loosen the glue/make it softer. then with a credit card or something of the sort just flick the letters off!
then go over with some glue remover to remove any excess glue that has stayed on :D

You're best off searching the internet for BBS wheels, you'll get better deals I should think.

As for de-badging, I assume you mean the Polo writing on the rear? Use a hair dryer to get the glue behind them to warm up and then use a piece of fishing line or old credit card to easy the letters off one by one.

After they are off, use WD40 or Autoglym Intensive Tar Remover (<-- great stuff) to get rid of the foam and glue that might be left over :)

EDIT* crap, just too late

Hi Ali, it's well worth giving my Dad's place a go, he deals with BBS wheels and now does BB5 () replicas. His site is http://www.mitchamtyres.com; it's fairly outdated, but all the info is there. I wouldn't bother with Eden Park in Catford, maybe give RSR a go as well.

Also, didn't you contact me about the polo a while back when I had it for sale? If so, hello and welcome to the best Polo forum there is 8)
