supersprint manifold and remap

Post by my_little_polo »

hi, can anyone help, where can i get a supersprint manifold from? or something like this but not a raceland, will it need any alterations and will it get louder also does it make a diffeence on the performance? also with a supersprint manifold and a remap what bhp gains will i get and is it worth it? please get back to me thank you.

From what I've read they sounded worthwhile, but Supersprint no longer make them for the GTI, which is irritating. There been a few attempts at Group Buys to restart production but they've not amounted to much. There was also talk of a Milltek Group Buy, but that didn't work out either.
Not sure what other good alternatives there, if you find out I'd also be interested :)

also sound wouldn't be altered massively

and figures wise, you might wanna talk to Tom? (tomo87), he had 140 BHP out of his, with a custom code remap, also had a BMC and iirc a different catback system.

Think the group buy is meant to start later on. I'd rather get a Supersprint manifold than a Raceland as it was designed for the GTI so better fit and presumably a little better performance. Raceland still seems good though

how did all that cost? does it make a big difference in sound?

I'm eventually gonna buy a Raceland, can't hang on waiting to see if Supersprint will put theirs back into production

it was 160 odd for the manifold then 90 for fitting then another 390 for the exhaust system.

yeah its made a big difference in noise, will get some pics up asap.

doesn't look like it been cut. does it catch on bumps or anything, and is yours lowered? Would it be possible to mount it higher, and then cut the bumper?

it hasn't caught on any bumps yet but i do take it steady over bumps anyway,

yeah mines lowered on pihil j coilovers around 70mm,

if you wanted to mount it higher you could although i dont think you'd want to, i wouldnt anyway................
