in boot light tempremental!?

Post by nogwuy »

any ideas in why mine only works when it feels like it? (usually in day light, and decides not to when its dark and i need to see something! :D) what actually turns it on? is it the two plastic flap things that cover up the recess to the boot catch that comprise the swich? as when i depress and release these they make a clicking noise like a switch but it doesnt seen to trigger the light?

You need to replace/or clean the sliding switch within the locking mechanism

WD40, but brace yourself it might not repairable. buy a new one £10. You will also need a multi spline tox head to release the lock.
