@ Mike-MK4: I just found out why you needed to drill new holes

First the plus: it's not a Raceland one, it's FK, good quality :D

Slightly negative side: it's not meant to fit a mk4, it's made for the Golf mk1 GTI  Now I understand why I never saw a lowerstrut like that for a mk4  did you need to drill new holes for the rear too or are only those visible on the pictures "re-drilled"?

Man that engine looks so clean you could eat off it. You seem pretty well versed in engine swaps...was it the magic of the Haines manual that gave you your gift?

Cheers mate.

Lol. Haynes was a great help, but also a lot of help from a mate, who has done it before, built his own show car, vr6'd it + worked on his other cars.

He was in same boat as me, young, first car so couldn't afford garage prices for work to be done, so learnt his self with the aid of a haynes :D

Man you see...you guys have the guts to do that sorta thing. If I tried DIY my car would explode. I need to buy a Haynes manual. This is evidenced by the fact that I thought I had to take out both side wings to fit them in. Luckily a mate told me the indicators just slide out :?

Lol.

All part of the fun, you make a mistake, you don't do it again lol.

I've learnt by helping others over the years and working on mine.
