thats impressive for a single turbo though, maybe it will be enough....just dont want to do it and regret not spending a bit more to get it twin'd, bi-turbo sounds unecessary imo...and 20k is a bit much lol

when you planning on getting yours tom?

i got numerous ideas:

astra: about a 2002 kinda year 1.8 or 2.0 3 door as i think they can look nice modified and are quite fast.

mg tf or mg zr: my gf used to have a 51 zr and it was nice to drive, never had any problems with it and was quite fast for a 1.4 untill she lent it to her brother whos friend went up the back of it and write it of. now she has a c3.... not bad... smooth to drive and very light steering... passed mot no probs. it would have to be a 3 door and either a 1.6 or 1.8. tf because its a convertible sports car and would be nice to own.

toyota celica: same again nice sports car and fast with good looks.

golf r32: wats not to like about it.... good looks and speed.....

and then u got the real sports cars, ferrari's bugatti's etc....

all apart from the golf r32 and the real sports cars u can these cars for around the 5k mark....

always had as soft spot for the original leon cupra r (diesel also) plus it has 4 doors so can persuade wife its easier for getting kids in/out! also mk4 golf gti anni (also diesel) but has (usual) problems with bbs wheel corrosion. failing that a new golf gti, arnt these quicker than the mk4 r32? (seem to remember clarkson saying it eclipses it on top gear when he reviewed it?!) not sure how prices compare though.
have already gone old school with a mk2 golf 16v so got that out of my system, also had a mk3 golf gti (8v) and a bigger saloon car in an A4 1.8T quattro sport tuned to 225 bhp which was also nice, but hot hatches are the future!

I wouldn't be suprised, standard the mk4 r32's hit 60 at something like mid 6's, my cupra would kill one in its current state....but they look so nice & the noise they make is amazing 8)

and thats the reason i'll be getting i nice turbo (or two) for one

ha ha, thanks for the replies guys.

Nogwuy - re: turbo'd golf vr6 - although a mate of mine currently has his supercharged vr6 up for sale - just incase any of you were interested..I think it's due to be in PVW or something similar this coming month.

It is interesting how most have you are keen to stay VAG, is there any particular reason for this? The only reason I ask is because I've always had VAG cars, and with the reliability of my current polo gti it has to be said it hasn't been the greatest. Has anyone else had any experiences of other cars from reliability prespective? If so please share - I use my car for business use too, so this is a key factor. Cheers.

I had a peugoet 306 before, and that was f***ing awful!!!

I used to laugh about it, saying that I think it was only the head gasket out of the main things to go wrong (gearbox, clutch, backbox, manifold, powersteering air con etc..) that hasnt actually gone wrong (yes everything in that list plus more failed on me!),

When it came to actually selling it, I had someone give it a once over, and they said the head gasket may be on the way out!!!

haha, as a result I hate french cars, couldnt give them the time of day any more.

I would like a Race Blue 2007 Skoda Octavia vRS, with 10,000 on the clock.

It arrives next week.

yeh i like that BMW too, but the headlights really annoy me!

I was looking at the 1.8 sport compact (before I got my polo), but it was a bit too old for what I was looking for, and the mark up from that (the one you've pictured) was just too ugly for my liking,

good car though
