they look better on the mk3's
theres some guy on ebay whos is always selling them for £15, so you may be lucky and get a set for £20 including postage
I bought a set of clear indicators and side repeaters from Euro Car Parts. I thought that they were not bad value for money, considering how much places like Halfords and Demon Tweeks would charge for a similar item.
Only problem I encountered was that the left and the right indicators supplied by ECP were actually from two different suppliers. So, as well as the indicators looking 'weird' by being clear and clean. They also turned out to be slightly differnt shade...
Took them back and they made sure that I got a matched pair... So I can't complain.
Only other thing was getting bulbs... You need orange tinted bulbs or bulbs that are at least self-coloured to light up amber... I went for cheap orange lamps as I wasn'y willing to pay £15 for the Philips iridium coated items...
Clear lens (IMHO) do look miles better than standard...
Yep, eBay is definately the way to go. I got mine for £12.00 and clear side-repeaters for £3.00. Not bad going really.
They were the first mod I did, and they honestly make the world of a difference, but watch out for the "fried egg effect."
In my experience you get what you pay for, cheaper units may leak, cloud up and not fit as well. Hence me not changing my lights for about 18 months - till I had enough to change the indicators, side repeaters and rear light clusters all in one go.
You can probably get Hella ones cheaper elsewhere, somewhere like VolksApart or German and Swedish maybe?
ah Ill try teh local VoltsApart, Well if ya say they might go and leak I'll go and leave it untill I can change the lot. Or not at all and save me money for say a GT or G40... or more booze
