What font is yours Haris?

The standard UK one?

If its reflective it sould be fine.

I've got German pressed plates but with the GB band, still illegal but less obvious

Mine is the standard english plate but basically on a pressed plate, therefore english font, reflective etc just in a german style plate holder which may make them more noticeable, but had no problems going through MOT so should be fine hopefully.

You should be fine, There's just rules against fonts, font size, font spacing, foreign bands and reflective material if I remember correctly

been having a look into this! and as far as i can see, pressed plates with a UK font are ok as long as it has all the other things that are asked by the laws which include things like postcode and name of manufacturer etc.

there is also a bit of a loop hole that says that cars pre 2001 can have european numberplates!
Quote from email received direct today from DVLA Swansea.

"I can confirm that your assumption is mostly correct and European number plates may be used legally on vehicles manufactured between these dates (1973 and 2001). Schedule 2 Part 1 also extends the 'European' facility to number plates fitted on vehicles manufactured after September 2001. However, the equivalence test would be carried out against the latest issued British Standard"

HHmmm, so you could have a pressed plate with the D band on, and it be legal?

really?! So they have absolutely no legal grounds to stand on saying that the rear HAS to be yellow?

It says in the link above that they do?

If not though I'm gunna get a white one for the rear of mine!

I know from experience, they can and will either tell you to change it or give you a fine and tell you to change it.
