having troubles ?????

Hi all

im having troubles with putting car into reverse. It feels like its in gear but then when i go to pull away it makes a horrible crunch noise then comes back out of gear. but im only having trouble with putting it in to reverse and 1st gear.

It could potentially be the Pedal box, you could do with reading up on that thread:

Failing that it could be the gearbox, or your clutch. First I would check out the pedal box, then I would move to the clutch and box.

i had a similar problem, all that was with mine was a bolt missing from under the bonnet, might have been around the gearbox

go n get it looked at

First (and cheapest!) thing to check would be to have the clutch cable adjusted. I suffered the same symptoms after having a new clutch, the cable needed adjusting. Since adjustment, it has been perfect!
