bonnet

Post by bristolgeezer »

righty then,

not been having a good month with the car, every weekend this year something bads happened to it and last weekend was no different, went to the pub saturday night as you do, came out about an hour and a half later to find someone had kindly jumped on my bonnet and kicked my widscreen through!!! so i've got two lovely looking dents in the bonnet.

anyway i had the windscreen replaced sunday and im going to start looking for a bonnet this weekend but i just wanted to ask something before i buy something that potentially wont fit.......

will any 6n2 bonnet fit my car or does it have to be off a gti?

cheers,

ash.

thanks for the reply, just gotta find a flash red bonnet now.

yeah im not havin a good month so far, the gearbox went december 30th, weekend after someone drove into the car and drove off, weekend after it was away all weekend having bodywork done, next weekend gearbox went again then this weekend the windscreen and bonnet, whats next?!

there was cctv from the pub but they cant make anyone out cause the quality is so bad, they said they'd try sainsburys cctv last sunday to see if that got anything cause they share the same car park but i've not heard anything back.

cheers,

ash.

Yea mk5 bonnet goes in the back with the seats down lol, i can pretty much tell you what parts of what ever polo fit in another one, i been and picked up and collected so many parts in my time.

you'll be very lucky to find a good bonnet the right colour anywhere mate to be honest, mk5 front bits are usually the hardest to come across due to only being made for 2 years.
