Does it do the same thing no matter which switch you use - the one on the passenger side or the one on the driver's side - if it doesn't matter which switch you press, and it still doesn't go down, it could be the motor? The clicking noise would suggest that the switches are still working.

Cheers

I agree with Si, its probably the motor, it should be easy to test if you take the door card off.

If it is clicking on both switches but nothing is happening, its 95% likely to be the motor.

Try checking all the fuses & *relays first as it could be something simple ?

Also try taking your battery off for about ten minutes then re-connect it to see if that might help.

* I am not sure if the windows use relays, but this could be what is clicking when you press the switches and they do pack up sometimes.

Lol...

I've had exactly the same problem recently.

As you say, it doesn't matter which switch you press and there is a clicking noise.

Strangely, mine started working again (after removing half the door to look at the motor  ) so finger crossed yours does the same!
