leather seats in my 9N

Post by sbp »

I've been photoshopping a lot lately(again  ).. This time the interior will get an upgrade soon..(next couple of months).. I have already switched my confortline seats with the GT ones..
This is what I came up with so far.. tell me honestly what you think. I'm still quite unsure as to what I'll do..

the grey part is speckled a bit on purpose.. , I want it in alcantara,

Didn't AMG have silver leather inserts?

I don't know if it would work - there's a risk that the silver (if that's what you intended with the 'shop) looks cheap (which it's not).

I saw an A6 a while back, and even though it may not work given your paint (silver), it was well nice - at least I thought so. The color was deep Oxblood red. Dead sexy IMO. Noone agrees with me though...

 hehe

I've been thinking about a color like that, but I have those lower parts of the dash that are light grey..

so I don't think it will match nicely.. That's why I want something that goes well with that grey..

Oh right.

Ok - in that case... Skip the red.

:D

Personally I'd stay away from two tone leather, if the contrast is too big it can look weird, IMO. However, AMG silver + black could be spot on for your car.

As an alternative, have you seen that BMW grey leather? It could be 'too much' gray, but matching a color to silver paint and grey plastic is pretty hard. Don't think beige or cream would work, for instance.

Though one Bart!

I think I've said it before, but on a dark car, with a dark interior, dark red leather is proper nice.

I almost ordered a Gunmetal Grey Merc A-Class with Red leather seats and dashboard.

Mmmmm!

BUT

On your car, I think I'd just stick with black leather mate.

And maybe try to find the lower part of your dash in black and replace it?

Though leather looks the bizz it isnt all that comfortable mate, especially in the summer and I have always seen leather as a "wiser" drivers accessory- an age thing

but if you're going to get them by all means they do look nice

Trust me on a cold winters morning you will apreciate heated seats along with your leather interior.

This really is a MUST.

Even with sports seats you'll slide around if you take any sharp corners.
