Wing mirror blown off

Post by tornado_ally »

Some b@stard blew off my wing mirror last sunday which was only one of 2 times ever that I forgot to fold my roadside mirror in which, obviously didnt go down well topped off with the trouble of locating a VW garage that actually had a spare in stock. Turns out the whole motor had gone and needed to all be rewired.
I had to buy the whole thing because thats how VW are!
£75 for the electrics + £23 for the mirror itself and they were going to charge me more for the coloured housing and to spray it but thank god i can do that or that would mean more money and time spent because some idiots cant drive.

A moment of stupidity from a townie driver that cant steer cost me,

Total: £98 + 20 minutes fidling with door panels  again! and a great deal of stress and made me miss out on a lot of social time because drivin without a wing mirror is really disorientating

all better now :D

I had to go to 2 different VW garages and eventually ended up having to wait 3 days with no mirror. The only way you notice how important your driver side mirror is when it is gone, trust me, dont take it for granted and always fold it back becuase sods law states that the one time you forget, you end up having it blown off and getting into trouble with the culprits
