Been rear ended today :-(

Post by dino »

Happened this afternoon on a roundabout. Luckily the Golf held up well against the Suzuki Alto which has a completely smashed front bumper, split radiator and grille.

Just what i didn't want a week before I go to Wolfsburg in it! It will hopefully only require a new rear bumper as its scuffed and slight surface cracks. Did ask the insurance co if the VW factory could do the repairs but unfortunately they can't lol

I've already left you a msg on facebook, but nevermind. Looks like it will just need a new bumper to me, these cars are very sturdy! I take it the one that hit you was red!

That's a shame Dean! Doesn't look so bad, hopefully won't take too much trouble to sort!

Not good news before a big trip though mate!

yeah, all my cost are being claimed, even all the flipping painkillers I had to buy! im not being even a few quid out of pocket!

just waiting for my local bodyshop to call to arrange an estimate. as soon as I get the estimate i'm going to clean all the red paint off and touch up the black lol.

just trying to find someone to get it on the ramp to check underneath. VW MK are booked up for weeks so ned to try some other dealers.

bad news. grrr.

as you've said, some G3 on the red bits will sort out the obvious marks, then touch up and boot polish will solve the scratches. no-one will know!
