Woah...Earthquake!

Post by olop_chris »

So, come on then...how many of you got woken up (like myself) about 1am this morning by the earthquake!

Confused me so much, firstly I blamed it on my girlfriend by saying she was making some noise....then I assume we were being robbed

I didn't feel this one. Didn't even know we had one till I heard on radio this morning. I know we could feel it over this way as people at work could, but i must have just slept through it

I was hoping it would rock my polo so much I could have an excuse for some coilovers... but much to the pity it was fine.

I was on warcraft when it happened, the wardrobe swung open and the desk was shaking. Thought there was a poltergueist in my room!

All the room started shaking for me, I was half asleep but remember hearing all the glasses and stuff shaking about!

Honestly thought someone had broke in and was running upstairs!

Thought about it for a minute, then rolled over and went back to sleep

I was still up, sat in bed reading a book, and thought it was a truck going past at first, then the vibrations continued and got stronger as it went on! Figured it was a quake, was pretty impressed by how strong it was considering the epicentre was near West Yorkshire and I'm in Shropshire! Both parents slept through it...

After it happened I was scrolling through my phone address book to see who I could text that would be up at 1am, but in the end just decided to carry on reading my book

Oh sorry, missed the time on the first read.

Just read up about it, 5.2! thats quite a heavy earthquake.

Really suprised I didnt feel it up here, I was well awake too.

I hate the fact that I'm so dis-attched from the world at uni!! should make an effort to watch the news more or read the papers
