Tyre choice

Some of you may be aware that i'm putting some new wheels on my car next week, so am in need of some tyres!!!

So i have quite a few options to go for but i'm wanting size 205/40/17

So do i go for:
Toyo proxes T1-r
Toyo proxes 4
Nankang NS II

Now i know Nankang aren't as highly recommended as Toyo but my brother them fitted to his Type-R and has no complaints what so ever!!! So does anyone have any experience of the new Toyo proxes 4's???? They're slightly cheaper than the T1-r's but not much info can be found on them!!!

Which should i get???
Opinions would be great!!!

I went for the Toyo T1-Rs, I've got them and love them

I've heard good things about the toyo's from a mate.

But my other mate has Eagle F1's and loves them, they glue you down to the road. It's brilliant for him as he drives like a mianiac at high speeds round bends.

I love Eagle F1 GSD3's. Stick like s**t to a blanket in wet or dry. Extremely handy where i live, roundabout everywhere!!

Currently have Prelli P6000's on and i really really hate them but they are brand new (came on the car).

I've had the toyos and the eagle f1's on my old Polo and loves the eagles, getting a new pair of them today for the golf!

Doug likes Toyo as they actually give a slight stretch (even 195 on a 7j rim!) but in my opinion they wear too fast for my liking!

i have the Nankang NSII on my BBS wheels and i'm very impressed with them! good grip and they hardly wore at all over the 8 months or so that i had them on the car during the summer

my mate likes nankangs as track day tyres, as they are fairly cheap, hard wearing and provide good grip.

I got toyo 4's mate. Can be a lil slippy in the wet - but quite good in the dry. If you can tho would go for the T1-r or T1-s's

as dan said, i run toyo T1R's on the vento, and i believe them to be of a softer compound than most, thus being very gripping but not as hard wearing! i think it depends on your budget mostly!

my old steelies on the vento are wrapped in nangkans and they were quite impressive for the price!
