It is a great car. It has it's flaws but other than that I love it. Very underrated and rare 8)

My god mouse, wtf? £100 for air con recharge??? Jesus, i charge £35! Mot i charge £25. Rear discs and pads cost me less than £20 all in, Cam belt kit was £50. £100 for a headlamp bulb? Got my 6000k pair for £40. Not only that, but the part numbers are gsf numbers, so you can work out how much profit they made on it all!

i think my next mod is the door pins and replace the inside handles as they've got that flakey look...

and then the wheels the outer rims look horrible so i think a refurb is in order or a good polishing kit and a bit my time

Ok so my mechanic rang me to tell me all the works been done thats needed to the car ie

Cam belt/tensioners/guides replaced.
gearbox seals replaced.
lamba sensor replaced.
new brake pads all round.
oil breather hose replaced.
n/s/r wheel bearing replaced.
n/s/r wheel speed sensor replaced.
both steering rack arms replaced.
Rear hi level brake light fixed.

So all errors have gone now expected 1

abs pump outside tolerance

But my mechanic has had a good look at it all and gave me 12 months MOT 8) as long as i sort the abs pump soon as poss

So looking about am i best of just sending mine off for a refurb cause i rang round loads of breakers and no joy anybody got any ideas bar going to the local stealers ie £657 off them

My ABS light is on nearly everyday and that is apparently because of the ABS pump.

The chap in my local garage said it isnt the pump though, and that the rings which the ABS speed sensors "read" could be dirty/corroded/cracked and that i should have a look at cleaning them up before spending £600 for a new pump to still have the problem.

Just thought i'd let you know you're not the only one thats bought a lemon mate

A week after i bought mine i wasn't happy with the clutch. Got it checked and the numpty that had it before put a recon clutch in :x
So new clutch and front discs and pads done a week after owning it.

Had the car about 6-8 weeks now and just looked at my tyres today and i need 3 of the blighters :x
Spare keys batteries need changing so will probably need to reset that too.

I'm dreading on when it needs mot and service later this year!!

But tbh, i still love it

Try changing the sensor first buddy alot cheaper.

Had my ABS light on in the Colour concept, took sensor out blew it off and put it back in and hey presto cheap solution to my problem.

Moral of the story.... try the cheap thing first...

1200 odd quid for a service and MOT..... that has shockd me.....
