apart from stuff like climate, xenons and BBS.....what other things does the gti have over a bottom line mk5?

im thinking i could just buy a 1.0l mk5 for a swap?

Remote central locking, alarm system, interior trim, electric windows, gti grills, fogs, colour coded bumpers, GTi clocks, seatbelts, gaitor, gearknob, diff handbrake? steering wheel,

ye pretty much thought about that...nothing serious though like difference in chassis strength or whatever?
as all those things would be replaced removed anyway

No not that I'm aware of, the suspension is different but obv. thats not going to be a problem.

The only things that maybe annyoing is sourcing cheap GTi headlights and the GTi clocks.

talk it over with Dee-Vub, I'm sure he could tell you a little more

thanks phillip, i am realy enjoying my mk4 and i do love LM's but....i dont think it would be quick enough at all...i would buy a mk4 if its already running a GT28 or IHI but otherwise i think i would be disappointed
