Out of interest what H7 kit have people gone for form HIDs4U. Because there are 3 versions and i am wondering what the major differances are between them as there is a rather large price jump

Basically whenever you change to HID's you ought to get the beams realigned for the reasons you've said David. This solves the dodgy beam pattern problem and lets you see as far as you want lol. Also once aligned you can always use the headlamps / load adjuster inside the car.
I think that you have solved all the normal "light performance" problems asociated with HIDs in one foul swoop by fitting new headlamp units that use projector lens. This must be the only way to change to HIDs sucessfully.
hi everyone thanks for the welcome the site looks realy good, never had so much help from any other form. Im going to buy some hids later in the month so i will get some pics up when i finish.
Hamish, Ultimate Kit is for post 2002 cars. Give the guys an email and they will let u know what ones are suited for ur car. Its the ultimate 6000K I went for one mines.

Not 100% sure on this, but i think the dearer hids are digital ballasts, these are needed to stop any errors showing up on ur ecu as newer cars are getting too clever these days!
the new ballasts are soft start ones, these require less initial surge of power from the car to start up and do not trigger an error light on the dash for the car
Cheers Kenny and Jeff that answers what i was trying to get at. Tbh with the discount off HIDs4U the more expensive ones come in cheaper than the other cheaper models
