Golf GTI mk5 Steering Wheel, fits 9N3 Polo

Post by BeezerDiesel »

Golf GTI mk5 steering wheel in black leather with black stitching, Price £150 delivered (UK)

Fits the 9N3 3 spoke steering wheel airbag

No airbag included (yours will fit going on that mine did!)
No side clips included (you can re-use your own with very slight modification)
GTI shiny bottom clip is included though

This car originally came from a new 56 plate Golf GTI that was converted for track use from new by VW Racing (the car had a pukka race steering wheel fitted). It was originally a DSG car but will still happily fit a non DSG car (see photos of it below). It was in my GTI for about 2000 miles and is still in very good condition. There are a couple of very light marks in the leather that were there when I bought it but they are very minor.
Note: unlike the occasional one that comes up on ebay this hasn't come from a crashed car!

The only issue is that the Polo side clips need a couple of zip ties to attach them to the steering wheel either side of the airbag as the lugs are a bit shorter on the Polo wheel. I will include the zip ties and the holes are in the back of the steering wheel from the factory that will allow this to be done.

Much nicer to look at and hold than a standard round steering wheel. Very well made and very expensive from VW

Here's the pics:

£150 is a bit steep, would you consider offers?

Maybe in time. £150 isn't that steep actually if you look at the cost of a new one vs the rarity of finding the things on sale in the UK.

Just done a search on uk ebay and I can't find any currently for sale, in recently finished items there was one that went for £123 with £15 postage and is listed in 'not very great condition', mine is nearly new and the price included postage.
If you don't like the price don't pay it, then I'll have to drop the cost LOL :D
