wot car u getting car next???

Post by chubbster »

i love my little polo, its fast, cheap to run and so far reliable. ive had it now for about 6 months and plan to keep it for another year or 2. at the moment im a skint student but the time is coming up where i'll have abit more cash, im in my final year.

ive been watchin the trader with great interest, it seems the vr6 prices are falling! which to me is fantastic, i love the beasts! ive had a mk3 golf b4 and loved it. a vr6 is maybe my next purchase.

my polo is probably worth 3000-4000 so with another 3k on finance i should be able to get a minter. insurance doesnt seem to be a hassle no more either, i did a check on tescos online and they quote me £750. im payin £450 on the polo (im 27 with 4 years no claim). i cant wait, twice the engine capacity, i love big ass lazy engines!

anyone had a go in one? wot did u think?

what are all ur plans for next cars?

MY Next car will probably be in 2 years.

It depends on what the Polo GTi will become, If it's ever made. Or might go for a CTR.

All the Car's I've had so faw are VW's and I'm keen to keep with them but my next car I want to get something powerful. so It depends what's available at the time.

If they put the 130bhp TDi engine in the Polo and if it actually ever stumbles its way to the UK then that would be the motor to have. Light but safe chassis and a reliable torqy engine- plus diesels nowadays are the way to go esspecially the VW PD diesels, they are the bizz, fingers crossed I would't mind the GT if it ever does come out here.

Never a truer word spoken!

My 130 is amazing. However, I can see myself doing some extreme work on it in the next few years!

Next car for me: CTR Diesel, if they make one. Honda have redesigned the diesel and it's getting rave reviews. Come on Honda, make one for the CTR! :D

Oooh the man has spoken, nice 1 Karl, the Pulsar is a car and a half. My mate had a black Pulsar for 2 years complete with a turbo the size of industrial sewage pipe and a dump valve as loud as a factory clackson. omg was that a car to be in, it made bad boy Zetec S's look like Flintstone cars and even made Type Rs look slow but gettin hold of a good import with a good history is very hard but if you do it is so worth it. Bit of a health hazard because when your in one you have to go fast simply becasue you can

obviously Polos are better as a car in general but as a recreational car you need somthing with a turbo and good sound system
The Mini Cooper S isn't bad, good performance but it does use a bit too much petrol for a 1.6. Aint a supercharger a b1tch :D

I've always had my eye on an S3, there is something about it that I just love, whether it be the leather Recaros, those big alloys ot the shape of the front...something just screams power...yet class and refinement...and a price tag of £24k+ means that there can't be many around!

If not one of these may be I'll go for second best which is an R32...but much prefer the shape of the A3/S3, both the new and old..

Ha ha ha, mad me laugh, do you think it was a horrible joke on someone...would be a great prank to play on a mate...and then get him to drive around in it...ha ha ha!

Reminds me of when I bought a couple of bottles of shaving foam and cover my mates car when at college...then he had to drive it to the car wash...looked like a giant marshmellow...

karl - you should consider a 200sx (S13 I think - pointy model). change the intercooler and you can get about 300bhp on them, plus they're dirt cheap to buy....

gonna stick with my polo for a while. no point in getting a bigger car if I don't need it.

yeah, saw some on eBay for £1500
