Radio not recognising cd changer

I disconnected an in dash 6CD changer and put it in another car; when I took it out and put it back in the original car the radio wont recognise that there is a changer connected. The Changer has power and takes cd's but the radio wont recognise it. Any ideas?

Check all the wires are tight and are not damaged. There are three data channels that run through the loom that need to be perfect to work.

Check that its earthed, might sound stupid but thats waht happened with mine. It wasnt earthed correctly so the radio wouldnt pick it up but there was power to the cd player.
