Air Intake Temp Sensor

Car: 1.4 FSI 9n Polo 22,000 miles

Fortunatly i had my car in for a full service today as on the way to work at every round about i cam to or basically when the revs dropped when i stopped the car cut out, now this was due to it not idleing correctly.

Whe i started it and rev'ed engine and started off it was fine. Although when it stopped 15 mins later it was fine, so hence inmtermittent

Now the garage put it onto the diagnostics and it came back with the following

"19490 Intake Air Temp Sensor 2-G299 Signal Too Large

Code (P3034) Error Intermittent"

Iv taken the sensor out and cleaned it and put it back in now and we'll see hwo it goes but i though i'd ask has any one experienced the same problem and if so what fixed it and what was the cost.
