If I win the lottery I'm buying it, then spend another 10k on the engine to gain 200+ bhp

I think you'd be deserved to be sectioned under the mental health act for spending 16k on a GTi just to make it 200bhp+ !!!

 Just put a new engine in mouse and go for serious power.

If I won the lottery and wanted to get power out of any VW it would be a 560bhp Turbo R32 8)

i'm with you on that tom! TT R32 all the way!

and as said you may as well stick a 1.8T in the car for that & get it tuned to 300Bhp easily, rather than spend more making a 1.6 scream to an early grave

If your going to do it, you might as well go the whole hog...

Twin supercharged R32....A wee bit more controlable than the turbo version, and it would sound like a wet dream!

heavent heard of anyone doing that but i'd go turbo over supercharger anyday, thats my opinion though...you'll never get as much horses from a charger..and personally dont think it will sound anywhere as good...

or high pitched whine?

oh and my fav:

theres a reason why ppl with big bucks are playing with turbos rather than chargers...bi-turbo is the ultimate choice on the r32

....i havent looked much into this...honest

i suppose...but other than power delivery i dont see any benefits to a charger...least of all the sound it makes

and even then i love the lagg, its definately sexual

Come on guys!

You telling me if you won the lottery you wouldn't buy a supercar.

Forget the R32!

I'd have a Bugatti Veyron or something in the supercar range.

0-60 in 2.8 secs in a golf? it would keep up with a veyron to some extent! i love the sleeper...obviously id have a black murcielago as well...but that goes without saying 8)
