I'm sure we've all experienced the warning 'bing bong' sound when the temp drops below 4.0 degrees but I had another one the other day.
I accidentally drove with the handbrake not enough to stop the car but the dash light was on and the handbrake was on the first ratchet. Try it yourself, the car was bleeping constantly and I **** myself because it's exactly the same sound when the oil level is low.
Anyone else had some warning sounds? because they are not mentioned in the handbook.

I don't get the low temp one - but then I don't have a computer.
Only other I've heard is the "lights left on" one.
While we're talking about warnings - when you have your headlights on - do have any lights on the dash to tell you this - I mean a symbol of some kind. I have one for full beam, but none for head lights or side lights???
Of course, all this is from memory as my car's now in its third week at the dealers...

I think i've had every sound.
I've had the handbrake (1st day I had it!).
I've has ice warning 'bing'.
Also had yellow warning fuel light (loud bleep)
AND, brake pad low warning light!!
Turned out, was faulty instrument binacle. Been replaced!!
Hope I don't get anymore.

OK, here's one:
If you catch the sunlight at certain angles you can "see" the shapes of the unlit symbols - does this make sense? - you can see the shape of the main beam symbol, for example, as the mask through which the light shines.
Anyway, next time this happens, look carefully at the bottom right of the rev counter - right at the end of the red markings...
... is this an "change up" wanring light? - it's just a pain round led, about 5mm in diameter.
I've never seen it lit up, though. (I, um, may have hit the rev limiter a couple of times, though).
Deek.
