Well Gutted!!!!

Post by clarky_86 »

Recently ive had to used my mk5 gti as a run about for work, which envolves carrying my power tools.
obviously im not at all chuffed with this but im vanless and untill a can get the cash to buy a van ive got no alternative.

Anyway, yesterday i took about an inch long gauge out of the cill and took it back to the bare metal.
Then today i was hit by what looked like a boulder, which then chipped my windscreen. Then later on today, i was hit by another boulder which took a huge chip of my once perfect bonnet. The one on the bonnet looks messy.

My mum had one and the repair was pants, i dont think it can be repaired unless the whole thing gets resprayed :(

Along with all that, my gearbox is making more noises than befor.

money money money, why cant it grow on trees!!!

That's pretty bad luck. The sill will be repairable, maybe need to be welded. You can't really get a replacement as it is part of the chassis. I know how you feel about the gearbox, mine is making noises and here was me wanting to spend more money on making the car better :( I had a huge stone come off a lorry yesterday and hit my windscreen, luckily it only made two very small chips
