I know I've been absent from UK Polos for what, six months? but here I am back from the shadows (from where I quietly lurked around the forums looking for more mods)!
Nothing new to report apart from the fact that I'm still with my 1.6 Polo, and that I still have the Polo bug. My car's covered 14,000 Km now and has just gone through its first oil-change service. Lots of small inconveniences but we've travelled a few thousand kilometres around Brasil by now and the car's grown on me (it takes time to really like a car).
My Polo has by now developed a lot of those small imperfections that I like to call 'personality marks' (lacking a better name for them), and I must also admit I'm not so obssessive about it like I used to be - it's even got a scractched wheel cover which I have yet to replace, courtesy of my mother, a full three weeks ago!
Well, that's it, really. I now have to suffer an internet filter at work that prevents me from accessing forums, chat sites and the like, but whenever I'm home I'll be here and posting.

PS. Didn't buy the alloys I'd promised myself I would, and drove to some nice beaches instead. That's what a car is for in the end... or is it?
