Upper Strut Brace

Post by chewy »

Can you fit an upper strut brace to 1.4 16v or does the ecu get in the way? If not what else can I do?

You can fit a Seat Sport strut brace to your mark of polo mate. I know a couple of members on here have them (Sidaba, Dave Burton). Heres a pic of how it looks:

I'd like to hear that same comment from a 1.4 75PS petrol engined car, and preferably from someone that had that brace shown in stig247's posting - and which brace was that please?

The seat sport one will fit all PETROL engined 9n/9n3's apart from the FSI model (86 PS) :)

I've got a seat sport one on my 1.2 9n, fitted with no problems and imo it made the car feel alot better.

I have a Seat Sport Strut brace on my 9n.
You can get it from SEAT, they cost £49.95 or something.
Its the strut that fits the Ibiza 2002 onwards.

Iv had mine on for 2weeks or so, I have coilovers also and I think its great, I felt that I am whizzing around corners more efficiently, I think thats a combination of both items?
Doesnt rattle as much but the front end deffinately feels more stable when am driving.
