16X9s are gunna be a right headache with lowering also!!, your looking at pulling your arches.

Yeh you can buy different sized dishes to alter the width.

I still reckon you'll have to get the arches pulled, 8.5s on 15s are bad enough, let alone 16s!

Would look fat once you've got it sorted though 8)

if your going to have your arches pulled then go for the 9's rather than the 8.5's and get the arches done to suit the 9's you will be able to get a 195/45 tyre on a 9 as my mate has them on his rs's the only problem is some people wont do it, even on my 8's none of the tyre fitters will do it where i live even tho im using a 195/40 that is tuv certified to fit on this size wheel so i have to go to the garage that i use for my repairs sorry to go off topic there

I had trouble getting my 195/45s fitted on my 15X8s. But instead of the garage turning the job down, they thought they'd have a try, resulting in fu*king up two of my alloys, then claiming they were like that when they got them, even though the alloys were brand new!!

195/45 on a 9" rim is not cool

took enough pressure to get them on my 8.5"

There was a bit of a debate, but things got sorted.

Definitely, can't ride without the stretch!
