hi from a new member

Post by wes_keo »

Hi guys. I'm new to this forum and I thought that I would show you guys the new car I got about a month ago. It's a 2002 1.2 12v Polo which has quite a bit of kit on it for the bog standard model. Not the quickest of cars but hay, it gets me from A to B. So far, I have changed the wheels to Audi TT Comp's finished in a mirror shine from my previous car, debadged the boot and placed the polo badge on the ashtray lid, fitted a VW single slot CD player and I have ordered Cobra lowering springs today which will drop my car 50mm.

Other mods that I plan to do so far are:

Tints
Uprated Shocks
9N3 GTi side skirts
Chrome front grill
Chrome boot strip
HID kit
Gloss black door pillars
Colour code or gloss black wing mirrors. not sure yet
R32 pedal set
Silver gauge surrounds and heater control surrounds
VW carpet mats
Front fog lamps

Other things that I need to do are replace the gear level gaitior as its ripped slightly and remove the gear level lock mount that the previous owner has put in and I'll be removing the mud flaps.

Here are a few pictures of my car so far:

Once I've fitted my springs I'll post more pictures up to show you. Let us know what you think.

Nice, one subtle change I would make asap is replacinf that rear wiper with an aero type one, looks so much better than your existing one.

Yeah that is true. Thats something else I'll get round to doing. The front ones are areo wipers, don't know why the rear one isn't.

there is so much stuff that i want to do to the car like retrim the interior is cream leather and get the rest all in black like the dash and headlining but its money only being 18 and that. only really going to do what i mentioned and im also going to get the GTi back box as mine has a nice hole developing in it now.

heres a better pic of the car all cleaned and polished up
