3rd Gearbox in 12 months. 3rd one went after 535 miles!

Yeah gearboxes are the same just the ratios are different. There must be some possible gearbox conversion that can handle the power. To be honest if VW are putting in crap gearboxes, they aren't selling a product that is fit for its purpose

i just can't believe after nearly 8 years since the GTi was released, someone still hasn't made a decent replacement!

Hopefully my gearbox woes will be over tomorrow (well for a while at least

BD came to collect the car, which was good becuase I thought it had to take it to them. Also I gave them some anti-metal friction stuff I bought and asked them to put that in with the oil in the new box.

Cant wait till tomorrow to be able to drive without that horrible whine!
