I've had shed loads of Golfs, Scirocco's and Polos over the years but only two beetles. Aircooled cars get under your skin - don't buy one or you'll become afflicted

Forgot to mention it's a 1.4. Rain has stopped for 5 mins so here are some more snaps :-) The spots on the car are the last remaining rain drops!

Looking good, do you think I've under priced it?

sweet car mate, defo not overpriced as i'd expect around £1700 for mine which is in the same condition as yours but modded and had loads of cash spent on maintanance alone. Good luck with the sale mate

That would be PAS. PS means Pferdestärke...an imperial unit for horsepower. They're more or less the same...to be precise, 100 PS = ~99 BHP.

Bump for a sweet valver :)

Affectionate nickname for the 1.4 16v :)

Pretty sweet engines....Pull harder from 110 to 130ish (on speedo) than from 60 to 90...dunno how that works

The difference between this and the 8v I once had is that at 4000 rpm it's just waking up 8) The exhaust sounds pretty throaty when you overtake despite being stock. On the motorway it's like a motorbike engine, 3850 rpm @ 70mph :o but it doesn't appear to use a drop of oil or coolant.
