JOM Polo 9N Polished aluminium Strut Brace

Post by AKs_SlickPolo »

JOM Polished Aluminium Strut Brace for the 9N chassis Polo's.

In excellent condition, bar a few marks which should easily wet n dry and polish out with the likes of Autosol or equivalent - but I must stress they are really minimal!

Will update this post with pictures shortly.

I'll get some pictures up shortly mate. They've been taken but I'm just having a issue with my computer reading my memory card at the moment.

Cheers

Any pics of the marks mate? And is postage alright?

Am assuming that you just removed the 3 bolts on either side on top of the dampers and installed it yeah?

Glad to see that it keeps the top of the aircleaner clear on the 1.4 engine so that it might be able to get the filter out without removing it. Can anyone comment on the usefullness of using an aluminium brace instead of a steel one, ie is it stiff enough to serve its intended purpose? Also how are JOM?

Yes it does clear the airbox fine, and will let you easily remove the airbox without having to remove it. I've had the Seat Sport one before and this is significantly lighter than that being aluminium.

They both feel the same to be honest, I would say its just which ever finish you prefer - red or polished.

Yeah its as simple as removing the three bolts, putting the brace on and bolting it back on.

Heres close up of the marks...Should be easily sorted with some wet n dry and a bit of autosol to remove it.

A few slight marks where the bolts went but this gets covered anyway when fitted

This is my old seat sport one I had (just posted if you Diesel people want to compare it to this to make sure it gives enough clearance to fit)

is it this forum in particular or does everything in the for sale section have to be reduced before it will sell? I've found that stuff on here - even if it's a bargain price - will still need to be reduced by 20% before anyone goes near it. it's like no-one is happy unless they get money off! :)

i guarantee if you'd put it up for £40 then it'd have been snapped up already for £30 plus P&P.

sometimes the first price offered is a damn good price. to be honest if I was looking for a strut brace then this one is an absolute steal at £30 delivered.

pop over to the SEAT or Skoda sites, you'll sell it for £30 PLUS P&P.
