Time for Oscar to Say Goodbye :(

Post by oscar olop gti »

Just throught i'd let everyone known, as i haven't been on the site for a while ( been busy sorting out my wedding ). That the time has come for Oscar Olop to move on to pasture new. :(

Next week i will be driving to Suffolk to part ex. for a 53 plate, Mondeo ST220, silver, full light grey recaro leather & 20,000 miles on the clock ( its a wedding present ).

I would have liked a Mark 4 R32, but the other half wouldn't play ball & she only likes the Mark 5, which the budget wouldn't stretch to that much. :)

So i am just saying goodbye & thanks for all the help, advice & useful info off anyone on the site. I will calling in now & again, ( to see the progress of tomo87, 20v turbo'd olop)

bye for now :D

Thanks for all the replies. The Mondeo we had decided on was a salon
( didn't even realise ) but we need a hatchback because of the dog.

Been having a look about & found a 54 plate, in blue & at a good price.

Couldn't put my foot down really MM, because the car is in her name. :D

I'll post some piccies, when the new motor is purchased.

The best thing is MM. Is that the other half isn't coming with me to collect the new motor. That means I get to drive the olop ( on the way to get the new car ) & the 3.0L V6 on the way back as it should be. :)

No really i'am a sensible driver. But on the right road & at the right time, i'am going to exploit the advantages of both cars.

Don't forget this is my last major drive in the olop ( my first car, thanks to my other half, which I thank her for ) & i want too remember it. :)

Cheers Tim.
No, i'm a sensible driver & know my limits. Plus, imagine explaining too the missus that i've stuff the olop on the way down, or even better. I've stuffed the Mondeo on the way back home ( our wedding present to each other aswell ) :)

Changes, changes, changes.

The other was concerned about the 3 litre engine in ST220 regarding the petrol consumsion. As we only really do town driving we have played the sensible card & gone for the Diesel ST instead. :)
