N75J let down!! Or is it!!!
Received my N5J today and wat a let down , boost nearly gone down to bout 0.5 bar again doesn't kick in like it used to and hardly any dump noise!!! The valve must be faulty as it is second hand from ebay!! put my original valve back on and its bob on fast as again??? I did connect it all ok the opposite way round etc anyone else had this problem??? cos it really does feel alot slower with the J and you can hear the turbo not boosting as high??

its well annoying cos i was so looking forward to it it felt unchipped couldnt hear the turbo whooshing like b4 ive sent him a message hope i get a refund was £30Jeff GTi wrote:THATS PROBABLY IT, A DEFECTIVE PART, COULD OF HAPPENED IN TRANSIT AS THEY ARE REALLY QUITE FRAGILE INSIDE THE VALVE
I NOTICED AN IMMEDIATE DIFFERENCE PUTTING MINE ON, BOOST AND RESPONSIVENESS FELT MORE AGILE AND QUICK TO RESPOND

well i got an mbc now just need some t pieces, a new R32 couldnt get away from me today i was laughing at him! Got heat soak though after a while new intercooler is defo needed!!more-bhp wrote:get your MBC on and not need J valve.....
fit your MBC in parallel and adjust until overboost/surging gone...
Getting those T pieces is a pain in the ar*e...
I got a whole box full of assorted sizes from Halfrauds..
Then you need loads of TINY jubilees..
R32...looool
I just spent hours and hours and hours getting my K04-001 on... what a job that is.... just NO room between engine and bulkhead...
Now boost is strong to red line and low down torque MUCH better.

you need K04-001, gaskets, washers, 4 bar FPR, new map..
If I get time I get 4 BAR FPR today and then start mapping..
The K04-001 isnt a massive power increase but there is more low down torque and the boost just keeps coming - doesnt run out of breath as quick as the K03.. I dont want to be changing clutches and fitting lsd and all that.. just want a bit more power...
So when you sprint to 60 in second there is still masses of boost.
Let me test so more first and I'll let you know how it goes...

Getting pi55ed off with this valve situation i cleaned it out etc and thought lets try it again!!! so i reset ecu (disconnected battery etc) fit the valve went on a drive slow and let it learn a bit. Then it was working then not, and it went on like this for a while , then bam its like a new remap, its working mint rapid now lets hope its was just a glitch!! seems like the ecu didnt like it till it figured out wat to do with it! Ill see wat its like over the next few days etc might have just been sticking if not used for a while ! i hope so cos it feels well good spent £20 tonight beasting it about !!!
