Please excuse my lack of technical part knowledge in the thread title, I have no idea what the bit is called
Here is my current headlamp:
As you can see in the bit that is circled the adjustor thing has snapped off:

Here is my old headlamp where it is still intact:

What happened was I had terrible condensation in my old headlamp and I had the opportunity to buy a 2nd hand one for a good price, the only downside being that that part had broken.
My car was due for a service so I asked VW to swap the headlamp for me and also transfer the bit that was broken. Around Christmas time I realised I was getting condensation in my indicator so I went to pull it off and have a look. It was only then I realised they hadn't swapped the bit over
It's starting to get on my nerves now though. Basically what I want to know is, can I get the indicator off without this bit? And how easy would it be to fix the problem?
