Well at the moment it looks like £3.5-4 will pick you up a decent one. sucks they've lost value so much.,
Umm... full tank figures, maybe like 300 for me? Although don't quote me, it's just an estimate.
£10 won't even fetch you two gallons nowadays, so i've not put more than half a tank in for months now!

Bought my polo gti in january, filled it up in dundee and got back to chesterfield on that full tank which was 350m and a coulpe of tenths, didnt take it particuly steady especially on the A66 dont think it saw below 80 for 60 miles so was well happy with 350, have got slightly more but only like an extra 10 miles on a run. but 300 out of a tank is easy

The pedal boxes had a re-call to reinforce the weld. So it's not really a problem.
If it's done, great. If not, take it back and get it done FOC.
The gearbox is something you need to look out for, it's the weakest point of a car. Just look out for whining sounds in gear particularly in higher gears. If it's popping out of gears (esp. 4th) walk away.
Cambelt and water pump change are a plus too. Any GTi over 50k should have it done.
clutches on the car are generally stiff, it's seems that the release bearing is quite flaw. Look out for faint whining when the clutch is down.
That's just a couple of things, Max has done two great sticky threads that will tell more!
End of the great they're amazing little cars, and anybody would be proud to own one
