I've got a 9n and am wanting to sell it hopefully this month. It's black 5 door April 2004 1.2 12v completely standard, except that I installed new pedal pads, a new Sony CD head unit so I could play MP3s and data discs (previously it had the standard tape player), and added two Alpine SPR-69C speakers to the parcel shelf as the rear door speakers didnt seem to work. The car is clean inside and out and is approaching 50K, with VW service history, MOT until April and tax until the end of September.
I have two problems:
Should I replace the front left wheel bearing (as it squeaks only very rarely and it's very quiet) or leave it?
Should I remove the speakers and head unit to return it to 100% standard?
(Before I Sell)
I'd also like to know what a fair price is for this car in the current market and what I could expect from the local VW dealer and what I should ask for private. This car has had no problems and nothing has been replaced from new except some tyres and front brake pads (recently).
Any help is greatly appreciated, Thanks, Dan
