I will admit, they do look the dogs danglies on the right type of car but I don't think it's worth the risk (IMO). My plates have got some stupid chavvy italic font (bought for me as a present :roll: ), and I can't wait to get rid of them. MOT is due next week so we shall see if she passes with them on. Is it legal to change the "GB" banding to something else i.e. "D", even on standard plates ???

dunno bout changing da gb to d tho prob just get more hassle i`m stickin a small england flag next to my plate instead of gb...don`t think there`s a prob with that tho :lol:

Well mine still arn't on, their in the boot. They'll pass an MOT with them on too. shame the police don't run on MOT laws.

Not too fussed on german style plates, my car is spanish & I live in the uk. Uk black & silvers look great though.

I thought the black and silver ones are now illegal? As I wanted a pair and they said we can't as they are outlawing them :?

i like pressed plates, but i like them with no band. if it has to be banded then get a gb band at least cos that the country your in!!

I think pressed plates look great!
it just give the car a different attitude
with or without the GB band :D

Ha if the police had a problem with them being dangerous because they're metal pressed...then why would pretty much the rest of the world have pressed plates as normal?
