Mat fixings

Post by Scorpio1 »

What fixings have all you 9N boys got for holding in your mats?

I just realised all the mats I have are the round small hole fixings but my car has the weird fixings lugs kinda like a bigger plastic bit. The dealer says the wrong ones were fitted to my car?

The dealer also said they don’t sell the plastics lugs that go into to the carpet, where can I get these? :?

The plastic clips come supplied with mats, but you may prefer to go with the ones Skoda churn out.

They have like a twist lock mechanism for the front and rear and really secure the mats firmly in place. When I come back to the UK I'll take some pics for you.

Well after my chat with Martyn I discovered the mat fixings changed after June 2003.. Great!

VW won’t sell me the old style studs/lugs for the carpet, they want me to buy new a new set of mats... Yes okay... :!:
